Bc I know everyone has a lot of things going on!! Break-ins, investigations and contacts being hunted down and created - ooh la la, what an active time for the nest. Among them, I've been piecing together the threads of (yet another) player-involved minimission in the distance.


I've been working on putting together an adventure into the cut-throat world of FUNDRAISERS!! - that is to say, a minimission involving Goram Saffit. The goal is to establish a rapport with Saffit and his social circle, with the purpose of being able to continuously gather intel on the opposition. Something that the nest's agents are in sore need of. While that's the ultimate goal, there's flexibility here, for those involved, to also make connections, investigate and generally get their sticky little fingers into as many pies as possible. So, here's what I've got.

The Darkling has used his recent publicity from the BOUT IT OUT tournament/explosion as a means to reach out and establish the meeting with Saffit and invitations to his next fundraiser event. He will be using his own publicity to counter Adetokunbo's public/social influence among supporters of the pro-personhood supporters. Basically, he's going to """play'''" bad guy so that the nest has an in with the opposition. Like being a double agent!

Carata has indicated that she and Nirad have not been able to do more than a cursory investigation into Saffit and his activities. THERE WAS A BRIEF CONVERSATION HERE.

Other involved parties, since it'd be suspicious to have a large number of hosts involved?? are Aoba, Hux, Sam Wilson and Angel (I think she was interested too). I'll let you guys detail what you'd like most out fraternizing with the enemy for your characters! Let's see what we can work out with/for everyone.

The minimission basically involves tricky situations such as:
- socializing with the elite, and NOT assaulting them
- establishing connections with Saffit and any of his connections for the future
- some third/fourth/fifth point that someone will bring up because i have forgotten......

And a loosey-goosey plot that basically is:
- The Darkling gets them into the party and establishes the connection to Saffit.
- Hux and Aoba are the core of the mission: Hux's empath ability is used to prowl through Saffit/Saffit's connections, Aoba's Scrap is used to dig into Saffit's mind.
- Sam Wilson and Angel are flawless support crew possibly tasked with crowd control and observation.

Ultimately, I'm thinking of hand-waving the actual action w/ mod + the involved party's assistance. There are a lot of missions going on, and overlap might be more detrimental than fun - especially since we're all involved in more than one matter at a time. I'll probably throw up a mental link post that will inevitably turn into a delightful clusterfuck serve as a summary of events and accomplishments for those who did not attend. But basically, here's a post to serve as plotting point + ideas + whatever else you need!!

I THINK the some third/fourth point involved using Scrap??? On Saffit to delete his anti-android opinions. Also trying to find out if the Enemy has him in their pocket or something.

Otherwise, this looks really good!! Give yourself some more credit Pax-chan. I'm stoked for this mini plot, even mostly handwaved, (sort of the way Ilde and Y's plot is going?). Tbh I'm excited Aoba's gunna wear a suit and look like a Proper Pretty Escort.

THERE. I added in the loose timeline. Hux and Aoba are VIP on this, to be sure. I thought handwaving it would be easier on folks, and give them time to throw in more input/ideas without having to juggle multiple plots bc everyone is involved with something.

So yes... make sure you wear something very nice, Aoba...........

TY for adding it! I do understand the importance of Getting It Done, but IN THE CHANCE ANYONE WANTS TO THREAD ANY PART OF THIS, I am very down for it. I do need AC material, and with two back to back conventions this month I'm already a little concerned about making it.

He will wear something v nice, (I been meaning to draw him in it.......)

A note - to use Scrap, Aoba and Saffit both have to fall unconscious. So if it comes to that, someone get them somewhere private, and get the vapors.

Sam's down for crowd control! He'd be totally good with charming and/or flirting with Saffit's social circle or whatever else needed while Hux and Aoba do their brain thing.

He's also gonna be listening real closely to keep tabs on them and try to make sure things don't go overboard.
