Hi! I'm new, my name is Sam, and I am playing another Sam, because clearly y'all don't have enough of those yet.


#PRIORITIES

So. This is Sam Alexander, from Marvel 616, a scrappy Arizona high schooler who also fights crime IN SPAAAAAACE as the superhero Nova, the last of the once-mighty space cops known as the Nova Corps. Except he kind of inherited it by accident after the rest of them were gone, with no training, so his life is a series of disasters as he learns on the job. Then he became an Avenger, largely so the older and wiser Avengers could make sure he doesn't get himself killed before he becomes legal.

He's coming in with a Rho specialization that lets him see through illusions and tell when he's being lied to. (So if you lie to him in tags, it helps me a lot if that's in the narration! He has to actually concentrate and give himself headaches to figure out what part specifically is a lie, which is a pain in the butt and he may not bother, but the bullshit detector is always on enough for him to go "something's not right here," if that makes sense.)

I'm Noodles and I play Petre! He is an oc made of pure demon shit lord. One of his abilities is to command people to do what he says by tapping in to their sins, so would Sam be able to see through that? asking for a friend

Ooh. He sounds like a horrible person with a horrible power and that's awesome.

The distilled concept of Sam's power is "see the truth of things," in a really black/white "this is true/untrue" sense, so I think that it would make sense for him to be able to tell that something is making people do it and that it's not their own volition, but not necessarily who/how/why, if that makes sense? Does this sound fair to you? :|a

Oh yes, absolutely! What makes Petre fun for me is that while he's an overpowered douchebag, he's also such a whiny brat that he opens himself up for failure and mockery aaaall the time. Ask anyone, he sucks.

So yeah! If you want to eventually make it so Sam just knows it's Petre being terrible then this is cool too. c: Meanwhile, his symbiote ability is shape-shifting so Sam can just call him out on his bullshit 24/7 it'll be great
