TRAINING ORGANIZATION
Heyo,
We're back on the Station which means... time to do some training montages.

Serious Business Psychic Shit
So here is what is up. Ilde tends to feel rather alienated from the group based on her life experiences, a lot of this is in her head obviously, but it's quite an insecurity that some of the things she's experienced in her life she just can't explain in a way that others will understand. She talked to Cathaway about it and realized she just wants people to know what Dreus was like, just once. Ever since she's been working on the skill, and has leveled up her symbiote.
So, for any character who would agree to it, she would like to use a mixture of this memory sharing technique Cathaway shared, along with her symbiote. The intention is to make a hyper-realistic little peek at what the Godking was really like. Here is a draft of what I would be posting, it may even be verbatim depending on how lazy I am.
Couple of things off the top of my head:
-Can only connect with people by consent, no surprise visions.
-She's not trying to hurt anyone or send them into rage mode, I'm not terribly interested in this either honestly, but if you feel like you have a solid plan for how you would handle this without causing like a lingering grudge or something, we can definitely try talking about it and seeing if we can make a plan that works for everyone. I'm flexible, my goal just isn't to break anyone's brain here.
-If you have a character who is pretty tough psychically already who wants to really use this for training, lemme know, that'd be cool too.

Skills to Teach: Really good with the psychic stuff, and actually pretty patient a teacher. Has also been learning some fine-grain body control skills: heart rate, breath control, etc that she'd be fine sharing too.
Preferences: I like to thread the psychic threads. These tend to work best as mental link threads that kind of wax and wane between quick dialog and then longer imagery tags. The physical stuff can be handwaved if you like.

Skills to Teach: Physical skills: hand-to-hand combat, shooting, knives, first aid/trauma medicine, mountaineering and survival skills, swimming/diving, idk why you'd need the last two but why not. Also not a skill to teach but if anyone wants to go flying with him come on down.
Emotional/Mental: emotion regulation, grounding techniques, mental shielding, thought defusion, anyone who wants anxiety or stress reduction and wants to let him bleed calm at you, why not. I'm also debating having him try to organize both a sleep workshop because goddamn does anyone get a good night's sleep here as well as a support group for grief and loss/PTSD/whatever the issue of the day is. That one may ultimately involve exploring the symbiote connection with each other and using it to better understand each other, to share experiences, and to learn coping skills and have a place that's safe to share, but that may be a way in the future thing.
Preferences: I'm down for handwaving or threading either - though admittedly I tend to stall on threading out sparring and am totally down for just working out how it went. If I do go with the support group idea eventually I'll write up a specific event for it.

Skills to Teach: Hand-to-hand combat, guns, general physical conditioning and battle tactics! Lady can also teach you how to drive good.
Preferences: She'll teach anyone how to fight (or fight better) or how to drift in exchange for help cleaning her room or for homecooked food ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ this can be agreed on by both parties or done by trickery on her part. I'd love to thread it out but I'm just as happy to handwave it!

Skills to Teach: Hand to hand combat, any number of weapons that aren't guns (projectiles like crossbows or bows and arrows are fine), stealth training, various tactics used in warfare (like applying that stealth training to guerilla warfare), and leadership skills. One of the duties of the commander of her people is to train the next people in that, so she is experienced in this.
She can also teach meditation and emotional restraint, but doesn't advertise it as much. While these aren't the only things connected to psychic blocks, they can help with some of the trauma.
Preferences: Right now, she prefers people who she likes, so lol. Personally, I prefer to handwave the actual combat training and do mental fortitude training in threads (you can see any number of threads between Nova!Sam and Lexa to get an idea of how that goes). Lexa will go BOTH ways in how she approaches people, and does get personally invested. Essentially, since this does involve Lexa needing to take a liking to your character, we'd have to do a thread setting that up in the first place.

Skills to Teach: Hand-to-hand combat. Bellamy's good at hitting things, let him teach you to be good at hitting things also.
Preferences: I would prefer to handwave the actual hitting things and jump to discussion in the aftermath. Bellamy is actually a good teacher, but I am shit at writing action threads.
Shepard
Skills to Teach:
➤ Specific Guns, like a sniper rifle
➤ How To Space 101: Spacesuits and how to not die so much
➤ Driving, but not like a coward
➤ Teamwork Exercises, for fuck's sake
➤ Cooking
Preferences: I'm fine with hand-waving or threading out. If more than one person wants to learn a thing at once, we could mostly-handwave the actual lesson and do a party log!
Student Ads

Desired Skills: Different fighting styles, stronger psychic skills, general learning of science and culture.
Preferences: Like above, I like threading the psychic stuff. Can thread physical stuff, but it tends to stall out after a while. Ilde, as we know, comes from a super backwards world so she is curious to learn about lots of thing, hit me with whatever you got honestly.
I am definitely looking for sparring partners who actually want to hit each other too.... No punches pulled.

Desired Skills: improved tech skills, help exploring the symbiote so he can improve his control and use of his symbiote ability, sparring partners
Preferences: Sam in particular is looking for people who don't mind that exploring his symbiote ability means someone's going to get hurt. He'll be more actively looking for people who will let him heal them and don't care that it means Sam will be getting hurt himself, but I'd also love to find someone who is okay with a reciprocal thing and helping Sam explore his ability to cause injuries. Also definitely looking for sparring partners.

1.Better hand-to-hand combat, since he can't just rely on super strength or literally biting someone's head off in special missions. Boring.
2. Developing his shape-shifting skills. He's got the changes and mannerisms down, and he wants to know if there's a way to develop it further.
Preferences: Any kind of teacher, though he's going to pick at you and bitch a lot. He will bitch so much. If he's provoked enough, he'll try to bite your head off. He's a special sulky monster child like that.
It's better for his teacher to be manipulative, to make him believe he's needed and shit. The downside is that he might grow obsessed with you. Welp.
