Hey everyone! This month we just want to give y'all a heads up re: how we plan to tweak mission organization and OOC information delivery going forward.

First, we'll be posting a game calendar in the next few days to give you an overview over what's to be expected for the next month. We're going to be gently retooling how we run events in the future in the hopes of giving everyone more lead time. We're hoping to maintain a sense of reactivity - in the sense that we very much want you guys to be able to change the course of missions , but we think the current way we are structuring things can be overwhelming and too dependent on back tagging. While backtagging is fine we want to make sure we're doing a better job of giving you the tools to assure it stays optional as opposed to required so that we can keep the game moving forward at a reliable pace. We'll also go back to detailing IC drop timelines and so on in the calendar, so expect to see recent drop info tied up in the calendar that goes up this week.

Secondly, we're also going to be rearranging how we pose game-wide event logs and plot occurrences in game. While S72 is definitely a teamwork driven game, we've noticed a big difficulty of game wide logs tends to be the commonality of group threads with four or more characters. We may also in the future be looking at the possibility of certain events requiring play as opposed to being handwaved or summarized, though we'll let you know if that's a bridge we're crossing well ahead of time and how we plan to organize that if we come to it.

Waypoint Shril will still be ending on the 6th, with new hosts arriving on the 7th although given the givens, backtagging is to be expected. Again and always, thank you for all the thought you put into this game. We know it's a ton of work and we have a tendency to drop things in your lap at the last second; we appreciate how much energy you pour into this game. As a last small note - Emmy and Z, don't worry about doing anything for this activity check (checking in or otherwise). It seems silly to ask you to do anything since you joined the comms yesterday. Y'all are golden.

AC CHECK - April

This activity check covers tags made during the month of April. As a reminder, to pass AC you must have:

At least thirty (30) comments from you across two to five threads, including Mental Link boxes.

Any combination (15+5+10; 10+5+8+7; 15+15, etc) is suitable as long as you reach the total required comment count.

All players are required to respond to this post by 11:59 PST on the 5th. Anyone who doesn't respond will be added to the AC warning list and have 24 hours to respond before being automatically dropped from the game. If you can't make AC this round, please reply to this post to request a strike. If you take a strike this month, you'll be required to turn in a total of 40 comments across up to 6 threads during the next AC check to clear the strike and pass AC.

New Players/New Characters who have never done AC aren't required to meet the comment count, but please reply here anyway as a check in.
