just a quick question about the ooze monster: for the next block on the calendar, is the ooze baby still latching and snoozing, or is there going to be any notable change in it's behavior?

Baby ooze monster will still spend much of its day sleeping in warm places (with a predisposition toward living creatures), but after the initial cling period it may also begin to wander if allowed. Its gait is relatively sedate and despite its snake like body, it walks more like a lizard with its whole body supported by it's little legs rather than its belly. If allowed/unattended, it wouldn't be surprising to find Baby Ooze meandering around the halls or curled up in strangers beds.

It continues to prefer Bellamy and Noctis's company above everyone, shows some preference to any other member of the babysitter's club, and utterly ignores everyone else. (Basically: at this point if other people want to use Baby Ooze in their threads, they probably can.)

Regardless when it comes to prolonged nap time, it will inevitably return to either Bellamy or Noctis and try to curl around an arm or leg.

Another question that came up in a couple threads: does it eat/will it need to eat/what would it like to eat if yes to the above? Also is it still oozing?

It will eat lots of things. Eventually Cathaway will give Bellamy and Noctis a list of things it shouldn't eat which includes:

Blarune (a rare grain)
Artichokes (a variety of thistle)
Silican Suns (the flower from a silican tree; bright yellow with an orange center)
Tomots (a bright red seeded fruit; derivative of the noctshadow family)
Lemongrass (a type of grass with a citrus scent)
Lilious Fruits (a bulbous fruit with a spiky shell and a sweet white interior)
Quicksilver (a type of river fish)
Honey (a sweet, vicious substance produced by insects)
Strawberries (a sweet red fruit with small seeds)

It seems to prefer protein and enjoys fish products most of all.

It's not still oozing! It seems like the ooze was a side effect of the incubation and hatching process. Once it rubs off all the remaining residue on its scales (likely over clothes and blankets etc), Ooze Baby will continue life as a shiny black ooze-free Baby.

EGGSITTING MINI-EVENT PT.II: THE EGGSXILARATING CONCLUSION - DAY 48

Crrrrrrrrrack.

There's a point in the eggsitting adventure where Noctis and Bellamy (thanks randomizer!) are both in the egg's company - passing the egg off to its new temp dad? Just ran into one another at a pivotal moment? The exact circumstances are up to you two - at which point the iridescent beetle shell begins to splinter and black goo comes oozing out of the cracks. Oops. It probably gets on hands and clothes (spoilers: it stains both, though eventually washes out of skin) and in moment the egg's iridescent beetle shell of the 11-inch egg has opened like a particularly macabre flower.

Inside is a coil of heavy jet black flesh, slicked with goo. It unravels itself and coils around the nearest warm limb - or limbs, it's not picky - and locks itself there. Hopefully not around Noctis and Bellamy's hands or else y'all are going to be stuck for a while. The lizard-like creature apparently has no interest is disconnecting from its new parents any time soon.

The creature is roughly thirteen inches long with a dense core. It has six little legs with webbed toes, small pinprick claws, a pointed head and four freakishly black eyes. When it opens its mouth, it has a second jaw similar to an eel's and a long purple tongue. It appears to have a series of protoscales which haven't yet developed far enough to interlock and some of its jetty skin is still visible. And warm. The lizard-like creature is very, very warm and much heavier than its size and shape would suggest. It smells like ash and a grandmother's bathroom potpourri.

The dragonlet will cling to wherever it's attached either for two days or until it's forced to relocate. It prefers to clutch to something alive, showing obvious preference to Bellamy and Noctis (though after some cajoling, it may tolerate relocation to any of the Hosts who spent time with its egg). The dragonlet spends ninety percent of its day asleep on its chosen perch and seems to be quite docile to the point that it's practically inert. Though the goo it was hatched in eventually dries, the dragonlet will stains the skin or clothes of whoever it clings to for days after its hatch. It seems ambivalent about Hosts it doesn't know (meaning: anyone who didn't come into contact with its egg). However, should it be annoyed enough to bite it will do so. Luckily its jaw strength doesn't seem very strong (yet???), however its bite does leave behind an uncomfortable itching rash similar to poison oak.

It also doesn't appear to be potty trained.
