climbs back in through airlock with quiet determination
Hello, fellow navigators through time and space. I (a ghost) have brought to you Officer KD6-3.7 (a replicant) from the recent film, Blade Runner 2049.

K is just an average joe who does his best.
Along with that ferocious fledgling soccer mom over there, he will be hatching into brood Sargas. What he lacks in the ponytail department, he makes up for with heavily conditioned chill, which he will cling to so desperately in the beginning that he may bruise it a little. Maybe some of you can relate.
His spoiler-laden app is here if you care to see it. Permissions and info will be up for the weekend. And come find me on plurk; it'll be like a shitty scavenger hunt! heh heh.

yo, i'm jay, i just reapped this dude, sam anders, from battlestar galactica, who is a more secret robot than the blade runner crew, but will still be super happy to have more synthetic peeps around. blade runner 2049 was awesome and i'm hella excited to thread with K - welcome to the game!

ALSO HEY this never came up before because we didn't have synthetics in the game when i was here before, but sam has what's basically a technopathy ability, and he'd never use it on another synthetic life unless it was like repairing/life saving, but it's a through touch thing so a question came to mind - are you wanting anyone to know about K being an AI? if so, should sam be able to pick up on it if he touches him?
NO PRESSURE EITHER WAY i just realized it was a possible thing and wanted to run it by you and our luv player too before hatch log stuff goes down

And, that's an interesting idea I hadn't considered before now. I'll discuss it with Jenni (Luv's player) and get back to you.

sweet, yeah, just let me know! :3

So, the consensus between us: it may be possible for Sam to recognize that there's something off about their biology, if that is something he can do, but he won't be able to interface with or otherwise control any of their processes, like he would a computer or some other more synthetic construct.
If something very cool and plotty comes up, though, we can probably re-discuss.

sensing something is off sounds awesome - i think the only thing he'd really be able to tell as far as sensing would be picking up on synthetic mixed in with their biology, seeing as that's all he really has the extra sense for - technological things. so he could be unsure if they're just augmented humans or actually synthetic in nature? and just be kind of like uuuh what the shit is this nonsense?
does that seem like it'd be good for ya'll?

Blah blah blah, to sum up, let's give that one a miss, but there's still much room for philosophical robot goodness. :>

ANYWAY, yes, i feel you, booboos, we'll skip out on that part and have robutts stuff come up another way :3
