MISSION HYRYPIA: NIGHT OF DAY :038
A SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT
If things weren't complicated enough already, that certains makes everything moreso. By the time the dread feeling returns, the NPC Hosts (Lyr, Rhan, Siva’co, and Collector) will have decided they need to positively and definitively identify the enemy agent. However, exactly how to go about it was unclear until the feeling returns-- from nearby. Should anyone chase after the sensation (though be extremely careful - if Lexa, Mat, Elliot and Pidge are right, the circles may act as a portal through which the Enemy enters the universe), they'll discover a third identical charred circle just outside the ring of light cast by brilliantly lit courtyard of the Whalsome Home.
Fortunately, who or what came through it is no longer present (which: phew - it'd be awkward/deadly to get caught running in that direction). Now it's just a matter of figuring out where they went.
Luckily, it hasn't all been setting fires and kidnappings this afternoon. After examining the charred circle at the prior night's crime scene, Pidge has determined that a rapidly fading radiation is left in its wake and she's designed a device to track it. As Casiria suspects the Admiral is responsible for her niece's death and it follows that the murderer is the Enemy, the best shot at either confirming Casiria's suspicions or ruling them out entirely is to get the tracker into the Admiral's lodgings and see if they can confirm there are traces of similar radiation on his stuff and/or find other clues.
However due to a number of unfortunate events - the death of Keya, the fire set to one of the Descendant’s lodgings houses, the attack on the Second Elyiad -, security in and around Whalsome Home has increased. To make matters worse, the Hosts will be working within under a strict time limit. There are only two hours before the remaining traces of radiation dissipate entirely.
Because of this, a contingent of Hosts will need to provide an adequate distraction (or distractions) while still remaining entirely covert while a smaller strike team infiltrates the Admiral's quarters. After all, identifying the enemy is only the first step of their mission. The second is making sure you can stay stick around to sabotage their plan.
Which is where we come to plotting! We want you guys to let us know what kind of distraction(s) the Hosts would come up with, what kind of teams they’d want to form, and who wants to take part in which actions. Based on what you come up with, we’ll come up with the full calendar for the evening of Day 0:38 and put up the IC event log. Please take the time to make concrete, fully realized plans - we'll do our best to incorporate as much as we can, but it will be easiest if everyone works together to nail down a definitive timeline of events.
This OOC plotting post will be open until Sunday the 28th at 11:59PM and the log with the finalized timeline of events will go up Monday.

+ Sam is gonna volunteer Kavinsky to be a part of the infiltration team with Pidge, since the two of them will know the device the best and can each operate one. They can cover the whole Descendants lodging quicker instead of just the Admiral's area. K also essentially has a stun gun with his symbiote ability, which is a pretty decent infiltration bonus along with Pidge's invisibility.
+ He's also gonna argue that they stick with just the Descendants quarters because one: everything mentioned elsewhere about spreading too thin, and two: Kavinsky's dream powers means he has to take a nap and pull energy from somewhere to create things, and with their limited time they might only have one copy of the device.
+ ...he wants to fly guys I'm sorry. Depending on mod answers, if this is gonna out them he can be talked out of it. But essentially he'll want to draw the attention of anyone looking to "hunt" him, cause a little panic, and can be another reason why fires are breaking out - either from him knocking things over or from other people doing the same.
+ He's also gonna be another one who encourages coordination and working together, and he'll be in touch and easy to get any information from. He was in the Descendants area already thanks to Shep and Damon so he'd share memories of the layout with anyone who wants it.

Also, if most people (namely the Descendants) are indoors at the time of the distraction and mourning, he wouldn't be seen anyway. Something appearing out of nowhere and having no relation to the ecosystem of the world is just going to make him stand out like a sore thumb. As much as he could be the cause of those fires, there would be a question of why that's never occurred before, etc. It doesn't really create a scenario where plausible deniability can really be set up (especially since Sam ... still looks like a dude in wings ...)

I think likely he'll focus on the discussion of plans, especially with his opinions on Kavinsky's involvement and sticking to the Descendents.
He'll be on board with the fire plan and bring up that it might look suspicious if none of their envoy are trying to help put it out, so his focus will probably go on playing disaster relief and helping people out of the fire - possibly even sabotaging it subtly while appearing to help contain it.

Just for future reference, Gil's manipulative bard magic only works when it's oocly agreed upon by all players involved - at least that's how I've rationalized it! It's rare for him to break it out, (that moral question of just because you can doesn't mean you should and all that) but even when he does there's always a chance it won't work. If that's a route you want to go down for CR we can always discuss it!

He'd support the arguments Lexa and Gildor are offering -- it's dangerously overt, and the local alien species have proven themselves just as adept at hunting large, semi-legendary beasties as the hosts have/n't. If you want someone to help talk him out of it, I'm game!

He's likely going to participate in the fire setting in a more "disaster relief" role since he figures it'll look suspicious if none of their envoy is helping try to contain it! He's gonna focus on getting people out of the fires way and sabatoguing the containment subtly while appearing to help, I think - so man if you wanna do a "Bakugo and Sam team up to help random group of NPCs out of the path of the fire" or even just handwave that and circle back to talk about hero shit later, that'd be awesome!

If you want Sam can sober her up? It'll wear off on him a lot quicker if he takes it thanks to his symbiote ability.
